Dr. CAI Ning

Dr. CAI Ning
Dr. Cai is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting at Xiamen University. Her research interests include accounting and finance with her specific field of research being Insider Trading & Venture Capital. During her year at the Freeman Fellows Program, Dr. Cai will pursue the following projects: "Insider Trading and Tunneling: Evidence from the Full-Circulation Market of China" and "Value-added Function and Wealth Transfer Effect of Venture Capital: From the Networks Perspective."

Dr. CHEN Huiping

Dr. CHEN Huiping
Dr. Chen is a Professor of Law at Xiamen University's Law School. Her areas of expertise lie in international law and international economic law, the latter being her specific field of research. Her publications focus on international investment treaties. Dr. Chen's topic of research during the Freeman Fellows Program will be "State-owned Enterprises in the Context of International Economic Law: Legal Issues and China's Responding Policy."

Dr. GU Jing

Dr. GU Jing
Dr. Gu is an Assistant Professor in the School of Asia-Pacific Studies at Sun Yat-sen University. International Relations being her academic field, Dr. Gu's research interest lies in trailing the region-building process in East Asia after the Cold War and exploring its institutional features and implications for China, East Asia, and the world. She plans to pursue the following project during the Freeman Fellows Program: "Influence of America's New Multilateralism Foreign Policy Toward Asia-Pacific at the Beginning of 21st Century: America's New Region-building Process and the East Asia Response."

Dr. LIU Xue

Dr. LIU Xue
Dr. Liu is an Assistant Professor in the School of Journalism and Communication at Wuhan University. Dr. Liu's academic field is Comparative Journalism which he studies along with intercultural communication and public communicative power. He plans to deepen these researches with the following projects he will pursue during the Freeman Fellows Program: "Public Engagement in Journalism and Media" and "Comparative Journalism."

Dr. ZHENG Anguang

Dr. ZHENG Anguang
Dr. Zheng is an Associate Professor in the Department of History and School of International Studies at Nanjing University. Within his academic field of International Studies, Dr. Zheng researches international relations theory, american diplomacy, global governance of public affairs and international negotiations. His research project during the Freeman Fellows Program will be, "Global Governance, NGO and China since 1980s."
